We always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and powerfully bring to fulfillment every good purpose and every effort of faith, that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)
The above passage from Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians serves as a beautiful blessing.
The letter to the Thessalonians was a pep talk to the new Christians. As can happen with with any new venture, the Thessalonians were experiencing self-doubt. Were they worthy? Could they build the church in Thessalonia on their own?
Paul’s beautiful words assured them of the prayers of disciples everywhere, and reminded them of the graces afforded them by God.
In the current climate of the Church, you likely know people that are experiencing a period of doubt, or are wavering in their faith.
With them in mind, read this passage as a blessing on them. Then drop them a note or give them a call and let them know of your prayers and support.
